Dear customers of Maggie’s Dog Cafe,
We are here to stay!!

We would like to update you on what our plan is during this unprecedented time, Good News is our Dog Spa, Retail Store and Doggy Day Care will remain open with new opening hours of:

Tuesday 8 to 4pm
Wednesday 8am to 4pm
Thursday 8am to 6pm
Friday 8am to 4pm

Our staff will be there to greet you but we do have some new rules you will need to follow:

  • Please remain at least 1.5 metres away from staff at all times
  • There will be hand sanitiser for you to use,
  • We will now be a drop off and go service unless you need anything from our retail store then feel free to browse ,
  • Please place your dog in our large play pen at drop off and remove all leads, collars , harnesses and take them home with you
  • When your dog is ready to be picked up we will send you a message,
  • Payments can be made through Eftpos, no cash payments.

Coffee takeaways will be available 8-9am only on these days for now.

You can now purchase dog treats and food online through our store with local delivery.

Terms & Conditions of Entry

Maggie’s Dog Café, Shop & Salon
Entry Requirements and Policies

By entering Maggie’s Dog Cafe, Shop and Salon you are agreeing to all of these terms and Policies:

  • We take no responsibility for injuries sustained to persons or dogs.
  • You enter at your own risk in the knowledge that we cannot predict the behaviour of all dogs.
  • Please take your dog to the toilet before entering.
  • Friendly Dogs allowed only.
  • Dogs must be up to date on their Vaccinations.
  • Owners are responsible for their dog’s behaviour at all times.
  • Dogs must be on a lead inside the shop.
  • Play pens are a leash free area but all dogs must be supervised at all times.
  • If you are concerned about a dog’s behaviour, then please report to a staff member.
  • Dogs may only eat in the designated dog eating areas.
  • We reserve the right to refuse entry to anyone who does not abide by these rules
  • Most importantly, have fun!

DOG GROOMING & SALON SERVICES

By booking a dog grooming or treatment appointment with Maggie’s Dog Cafe, Shop and Salon you are agreeing to all the terms and policies as set out below:

APPOINTMENT CANCELLATION POLICY

Cancellations with more than 24 hours’ notice will not receive any cancellation fee. Cancellations with less than 24 hours’ notice (or same day cancellations) will incur 100% cancellation fee of the service booked for.
This fee will be required to be paid prior to any future salon appointments being made.
No shows will also incur a 100% cancellation fee and this fee will also be required to be paid before any future appointments can be made or at the time of booking.

DOG OWNER’S RESPONSIBILITY & INDEMNITY RELEASE
It is the dog owner’s legal responsibility to inform the groomer if their dog has previously bitten anyone, including another groomer. I understand that I (as the dog’s owner) could be held liable for any injuries resulting from the failure to disclose this information.

If a dog becomes too aggressive or stressed whilst being groomed then the owner will be contacted and asked to attend the grooming appointment, if the animal continues to be aggressive or highly stressed then the appointment will be terminated and your dog will be referred to a Vet for further treatment at your own cost. The service fee quoted for the appointment will still be charged, even if the service cannot be finished due to your dog’s behaviour. I understand that if my dog is unwell with sickness, diarrhoea or with a contagious disease or infection then I will inform Maggie’s dog cafe, shop and salon and agree to reschedule my appointment.

I grant my permission for Maggie’s Dog Cafe, Shop and Salon to obtain emergency Veterinary treatment for my pet at my expense should it become necessary.

I understand that senior pets may have underlying conditions that can be aggravated during or after normal grooming procedures. It is your responsibility as a pet owner to inform the groomer of any known pre-existing conditions.

I understand that Maggie’s Dog Cafe Shop and Salon will always do their best to protect the health, wellbeing and safety of my pet whilst on these premises. I acknowledge that accidents can and do happen and I hereby absolve Maggie’s Dog Cafe, Shop and Salon and its groomer(s) from any and all responsibility involving, injury, escape, damage or disease during and after their grooming appointment at or visit to Maggie’s Dog Cafe, Shop and Salon.

Should my dog need a complete clip off due to being heavily matted I understand that there is always a risk of minor nicks and irritation (clipper burn). This is due to unseen warts, moles or skin that can be pulled up into the matted fur. I understand that where there is heavy matting, moisture can be trapped near the skin allowing fungus and bacteria to flourish, resulting in a variety of skin issues, irritations and conditions. It also provides a perfect environment for parasites such as fleas. I understand that heavy matting may result in a longer appointment time therefore I agree to pay any extra charges due to the extra time and care that my dog will receive.

I understand that if my dog has fleas when being groomed then they will immediately receive flea treatment to avoid the fleas moving onto other dogs in the salon. I understand that I will be charged for this service. Flea Shampoo $5

I understand that sometimes Maggie’s Dog Cafe, Shop and Salon may provide my dog with a bow or other accessories to complement their groom, I understand that the bow or accessories my dog may be wearing after their grooming appointment could be a choking hazard and I understand that they are only safe for my dog to wear whilst supervised.
